Model No. ZSTZ-10 (15) NILES Spur/Helical Gear Grinding Machine for grinding high-precision Spur and Helical gears, pinions/splines up to 59" (1500mm) dia., 17"(430mm) face.

This machine was originally delivered new in 1985, and has been meticulously
maintained by factory qualified service technicians through out it's service
history. The machine is capable of performing within DIN class/grade 4
precision parameters, and can be viewed in it's present plant location,
grinding sample gears, upon appointment.

The machine corresponds to the attached catalog copy, and features the
following:

EQUIPMENT/FEATURES:

- work drive through driven ball screw and fixed nut as
well as high precision worm
- transmission of rolling travel by change gears
according to the rolling circle of the workpiece
- indexing by built-in indexing unit including
change gears and differential gearing
- rolling feed rates driven by infinitely variable
D.C. servo motor
- infinitely variable numbers of double strokes
- selective dressing rates
- independent rotary table movement in either direction
for truing workpiece and automatically measuring
pitch error and concentricity
- single flank and double flank grinding capability
- hydrostatic guide-way of the ram
- hydrostatic bearings of the rotary table
- hydrostatic saddle guideways
- lead crowning mechanism w/tip and root relief
- automatic dresser (with compensation of grinding wheel wear)
for grinding normal as well as tip and root relieved tooth
profiles. Pressure angle adjustable. Intermediate dressing
can be preselected. (Dressing tools included)
- motorized adjustment of column
- motorized setting of helix angle, w/optical fine reading
device w/5 second scale reading
- Allen Bradley control providing automatic grinding cycles, new 1995
- full complement of electrics (motors/controls)
(Allen Bradley electrical switchgear cabinet)
- automatic forced lubrication to all working elements
- complete coolant system w/paper band filtering w/thermally
controlled cooling for both grinding & lubricating oil
